چکیده
Physiological equivalent temperature (PET) is one of most used indices for outdoor human well-being evaluation; its determination particularly helpful adaptation strategies in built-up areas affected by the urban heat island (UHI) phenomenon. In this work, we presented a methodology to compute spatially and temporally resolved PET values during heatwave at city level, based on combination satellite products, situ measurements Envi-met model runs upscaled from specific test broader city. The method exploits ECOSTRESS sensor detect surface thermal patterns different diurnal times developing an hourly index called hUHTI (hourly index) that serves as proxy. A case study Prato (Italy) municipality 2021 summer events presented. Based available set six maps 10 m spatial resolution were derived daytime trends investigated according land cover. resulted more suitable tool proxy compared sole (LST) product, especially morning evening times. Hourly summarized use average exceedance map providing public administrations stakeholders synthetic regeneration purposes scale.

Reclaimed Areas Mapping by Remotely Sensed Data
In the last decade several mining areas and corresponding dumps are subject to reclamation process in Bulgaria. We focused our research on one of the most important in the copper production for 20 year period for our country – Medet deposit. This mining complex consists of an open cast mine, the overburden dumps and a processing plant. After ceasing its exploitation in 1994 a rehabilitation pro...
متن کاملIn Situ Brdf Measurements of Selected Surface Materials to Improve Analysis of Remotely Sensed Multispectral Imagery
The spectral bidirectional reeectance distribution function (BRDF) of selected artiicial surfaces (e. g. roof materials) was measured under natural illumination. Data were obtained with a spectrometer in the wavelength range 600 nm { 900 nm with a spectral resolution of 5 nm, using 61 spectral bands. The samples were placed on a goniometer, which allowed to set all the desired angles of inciden...
متن کاملClimatic and thermal comfort research orientations in outdoor spaces: From 1999 to 2017 in Iran
The level of satisfaction with an environment differs among individuals, which may be caused by social, psychological and physical factors. One of the environmental factors affecting physical and mental satisfaction, is the thermal condition of space. In recent years, the importance of thermal comfort has been accentuated due to the climate change and global warming, increasing the number of st...
متن کاملStudies of Outdoor Thermal Comfort in Northern China
Outdoor spaces play important roles in daily lives, and the use of these spaces is determined largely by outdoor thermal comfort. Few studies have been conducted on outdoor thermal comfort in northern China. Using microclimatic monitoring and subject interviews at a park in Tianjin, China, this investigation studied outdoor thermal comfort under different climate conditions. Although outdoor th...
متن کاملSub-pixel Target Mapping from Soft-classified, Remotely Sensed Imagery
A simple, efficient algorithm is presented for sub-pixel target mapping from remotely-sensed images. Following an initial random allocation of “soft” pixel proportions to “hard” subpixel binary classes, the algorithm works in a series of iterations, each of which contains three stages. For each pixel, for all sub-pixel locations, a distance-weighted function of neighboring sub-pixels is compute...
